Susan Grigsby lives in St. Louis, Mo. Her poetry has been published in journals and anthologies. She is the author of three picture books.
She has a Masters in Teaching and teaches creative writing in schools, museums, and nature centers, often integrating the lessons with science,
social studies, and art. She studied writing as an undergraduate at Bard College in New York and in classes at Washington University and Webster University in St. Louis.
Last year I had the opportunity to train in San Francisco with The Center for the Art of Translation's Poetry Inside Out program. They have partnered with COCA so that I can now teach the program here in St. Louis.
The program is amazing!
Contact me for more information on bringing this program into your school. I love teaching and watching children bloom as they discover the writer within. Some of my favorite places to teach include COCA, for the St. Louis Poetry Center, & for Interchange. I am also teaching adjunct at Webster University in the School of Education.
My poetry has been published in national journals including Quarterly West, New Letters, Sycamore Review, Sou'wester, Margie: The American Journal of Poetry, and American Tanka.
